Course leader: Lindsay James Pickton
Lindsay James Pickton has experience of teaching in all Primary Phase year groups. He has been a Leading Teacher for London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Since 2001, he has been the Primary Literacy Consultant (and learning and teaching consultant) for the Royal Borough of Kingston.
Lindsay has a proven track record of raising attainment in literacy in Kingston Schools. His work in state and private sector schools outside of Kingston local authority includes The Norwegian School in Wimbledon and the English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong. He has also delivered inset for South London Gifted and Talented as well as being Key inset provider for Surrey’s successful Boys’ Writing project, 2007/8
Lindsay has published a range of guided reading material with Oxford University Press, including Voyage, Treetops Graphic Novels and Myths and Legends.
