A well known educationalist in the field of leadership development and author of a number of popular books including the Headteacher’s Edu-fax and the Leadership Team Edu-fax, Marilyn Nathan was a teacher for 29 years, including 9 years as the deputy of a leading secondary school. Following this, Marilyn became the Assistant Director of a national children’s charity. She is an experienced Ofsted inspector for both the primary and secondary phases and her work as an educational consultant specialising in leadership and management takes her into a range of schools in Britain and abroad. In recent years she has been the External Adviser for headteacher review in 72 schools and an expert consultant for The Key. Marilyn now publishes her own e-books.She is also the education consultant for a media company, AMBIT, which produces interactive educational DvDs and resources for schools.

“Making effective use of the Lunch Hour” explores how schools can use lunch hour and outside the classroom experiences more effectively. Topics covered during the day will include:
Why the lunch hour makes a difference – positive and negative uses of the lunch break
The crucial role of the lunch time supervisor/TA
How some schools have improved the lunch hour – examples of strategies they have adopted
What are the whole school issues?
The seminar will enable you to discuss issues relevant to your own school, but also to look at and evaluate some dramatised situations.

Fee
