Course leader: Dr David George
David George was formerly Associate Director of Nene College (now University College Northampton) and before that Dean of the Faculty of Science. He now pursues his special interest in the education of gifted and talented children. He is Founder President of the National Association for Able Children in Education and a member of the Executive Committee of the World Council of Gifted and Talented Children. He is a consultant to the British Council and UNESCO. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on the education of gifted and talented children and is the author of “The Challenge of the Able Child”, “Gifted Education and Enrichment Activities for Able Children” and “Making the Most Of Your Abilities”.
Previous to these positions, David George spent many years teaching and still claims that first and foremost he is a teacher. This devotion to teaching, together with his enthusiasm and expertise, is reflected in all his courses throughout the world. In his spare time, David is Chair of Managers at St Andrew’s Hospital as well as being a keen sportsman who ran for his county and the RAF.

This is a new course with the emphasis on gifted underachievers. Many gifted and talented children are bored and frustrated in the classroom. Many are not realising their potential and talents are going unrecognised. The course will be given by a world renowned author and teacher with a wealth of experience. This course will enable teachers to identify and provide for the needs of these children; will emphasise the parent-child relationship and raise self esteem in a culture of achievement. It will challenge, excite and inspire.

Fee:
