The course
Michael Rosen mixes writing, reading and talking to create a course that is stimulating and productive for participants.
Creative Writing: Various methods of writing stories and poems will be explored using a variety of oral and written techniques – both individually and in groups. The work will be based on personal and cultural experiences with plenty of practical ideas to take to the classroom for immediate use.
Creative Reading: Participants will consider ways in which the reader makes meaning out of literature, using discussion and prediction as the story moves on. Other “ways into books” will be explored so that children will be enabled “to find themselves in a text”, making books both enjoyable and meaningful.
Fee:
The fee for the course is £290 plus VAT (Total £348) per delegate. The fee includes all refreshments, lunch, and course documentation. Discounts for multiple bookings are available. Please telephone or fax the organisers for details.
