Patricia Restan has many years of experience as a teacher, facilitator and learning manager. She was previously an assistant head. Her unique style of presentation inspires creartivity, be it from the children she has taught or via the adults with whom she has shared her skills of presentation. She has delivered training in History, PSCHEE and Management for 25 years
Who should attend? All Primary Teachers Assistant Teachers.
THE COURSE WILL BE COVERED IN FOUR SESSIONS:
This course will offer ways in which history can be made relevant and reinforce key initiatives of primary curriculum. It helps teachers and chioldren in all areas of the curriculum
Session 1
Why History: unique skills *ECM- who are we?Where are we? Where do we come from? Making Links *Literacy – story telling, imaginative writing *Numeracy – Learning from statistics
Session 2
Research Skills – building a History box and folder
Session 3
Resourcing – using what is around us. Handling artifacts and what’s around us
Session 4
A HANDFUL OF IDEAS – please bring with you one lesson or topic that you felt went particularly well to share

Fee:
