Lindsay Peer is a Chartered Psychologist. She was Education Director and Deputy CEO of the British Dyslexia Association for ten years until September 2003. She is a well-received public speaker and has appeared many times on television and radio. She is the author of numerous articles, chapters and books relating to dyslexia. She is an educational consultant and has advised the DfES and the NCSL and many other educational bodies. She has a lifetime of experience in mainstream and special education as teacher, teacher trainer, assessor, researcher, counsellor and policy worker. She has further interests in issues relating to glue ear and to bilingual students. She has extensive experience of working relationships with parents, young people, and educators at all levels. She is internationally known as an energetic & creative thinker as well as being an innovator of change on the cutting edge of education. She is personally and professionally committed to enhancing the life chances of all people, including those with special needs in learning. She was awarded a CBE for her work in the field of dyslexia in 2002.
